I was waiting in the line to register my fairy. Its been 30mins since i came out of forest. Ahead of me was lyla, she went ahead as her name was being called. Lyla got a fire fairy, suits her well. After her my name was being called i nervously took some steps towards the dais . "which fairy did u get?" the man sitting on desk asked me.

i closed my eyes and opened them again to brace myself for the answer "none" I said in a low voice the man looked at me confused. "excuse me? can u repeat? i don't think i heard it right."

"None" i said in more firm voice. The man and the candidates stared at me sometime and then he wrote none in front of my name in the book. I moved away from there. Going towards the dorm i went in sat on my bed. soon lyla came in and engulfed me into a warm hug i really needed.

"its gonna be alright. u will get it next time i am hundred and one percent sure"

I chuckled really grateful to her for comforting me i pulled back.

"Thanku really!" I said to her as she gave me a faint smile.

"Now show me your fairy i am really excited to see it" i said to her. She beamed and moved away clearing her throat she said "ok so luna meet Red, my fire fairy." As she said, a red haired beautiful fairy emerged from behind her. "hi" she said. "hello my name is luna."

As expected i was summoned at the castle by father next day. I braced myself for his rage as i was walking through the hallways. I came to a big wooden door, took a deep breath and went inside. There was my father sitting on the chair beside him was Ryle who was looking at me with concern, i just smirked and winked at him ofcourse when father wasn't looking.

"Hello, father" i said in a stern voice.

"Hello luna." he said in a calm voice. Calm before the storm i thought to myself. " you know right why i have summoned you?" he asked me directly.

"Yes father." i said calmly.

"THEN WHAT IS THE FUCKING REASON FOR IT?" he yelled to which i flinched and lowered my gaze. "I dont know father." i said in a low voice. He scoffed "YOU DON'T KNOW, HUH? DO YOU THINK I WILL TAKE SUCH A LAME REASON?".

"But its the truth that i didn't get a fairy i think my training lacked somewhere but i really tried har-"

"HARD, YOU CALL THIS HARD U RUINED MY NAME IN THE SOCIETY BECAUSE OF YOU I AM BADMOUTHED IN THE SOCIETY U ARE A CURSE TO THE FAMILY WHILE GIVING BIRTH TO U YOUR MOTHER DIED AND NOW I AM IN A DIFFICULT POSITION BECAUSE OF YOU" he yelled. I snapped my head to him fresh tears flowing on my cheeks, anger coursing through me." sir, i think you shou-" ryle tried to interrupt " shut up" before my fathers warning shut him up.

"How can you say like this, father, its just a foster it happens ever-" i tried to defend myself. "A foster do you know how much it means to my reputation you idiot?" he cuts me in the middle.

"Your reputation? what about me? what about my happiness? i have always did everything you want me to do." i asked him. "Your happiness doesn't matter. Its my reputation and my position that matters you fool"

I put a hand on my mouth couldn't stop the tears by falling so this means all these years he just used me, he didn't love me , he didnt care for me I thought as panic and realization struck me. And i ran from there straight towards the carriage and asked the escort to take me to the grounds. And i broke down i put a hand on my mouth to control my sobs as we went to the grounds. As i went there i saw there was a lot of rush in there, i buried my feelings right now and went to lyla who was in a hurry.

"What happened lyla? why is there a rush right now?" i asked her.

"you dont know? well the palace sent us a message that there is going to a war with classia right now and everybody has a compulsory presence at it" i was shocked as i listened at it. "Whatt? the palace? and what about me?" i asked her confusingly. She held my hand pity clearly visible in her eyes "I am sorry luna but those who doesn't have fairies are not allowed there." she said. I nod my head understanding its just a normal war they will win it i thought to myself.

"Take care lyla i want you back in one piece i still want to discuss so many things with you. If you come back i will tell you some of the Ryle's secrets." i whisper to her to ease her nervousness to which she chuckled ."oh my my! that's a huge prize i will definitely come back for it." I hugged her and she went to sit on the horse.

And i watched everyone go to the war, silently praying for them.
